DRIVER SAFETY BELTS MUST BE WORN AND MUST BE CLEARLY VISIBLE TO ANY AND ALL JUDGES DURING RACES
1. A vertical radiator support stretching the width of your frame, the height from frame to core support, no more than 18 " kickers back, no more than 2" x 2" in diameter will be allowed . (Radiator must remain in stock position)
2. Stock Gas tanks must be removed, an auxiliary tank must be securely fastened and located behind the front seat, a fire shield must be placed between the driver and the fuel tank. The fire shield must be securely fastened around and completely covering the fuel tank to keep gasoline from splashing on the driver if it should get ruptured. Tank shall be vented to outside of driver's compartment.
3. Gas cans will not be allowed as fuel tanks.
4. Auxiliary fuel tanks must be steel or neoprene (USCG approved) and no larger than 6.6 gallon capacity. Approved fuel cell or portable outboard boat motor tank allowed.
5. Any leakage of fuel will lead to immediate disqualification. Electric fuel pump must have clearly-labeled on/off switch and be within driver's reach unless stock electric fuel pump is wired to ignition switch.
6. All glass and debris must be removed from car before entering the fairgrounds. This includes: windows, mirrors, headlights and windshields. Plexiglass may be used in place of windshield.
7. Rear corners of hood must be secured with chain or cable to keep hood from coming into driver's compartment. A bar MUST be installed across center of windshield from cowl to roof.
8. Chrome moldings, antennas, sun visors and any other dangerous or loose objects must be removed and car must be clean of all debris before car enters the fairgrounds.
9. Roll bars will be allowed but must be of quality materials with quality workmanship and may not extend past rear seat.
10. Only one automotive-type battery allowed. Battery location is open. Battery must be secured and covered.
11. Engine and transmission mounts may be chained or welded.
12. Fenders may be cut out for clearance only. Bumpers must extend width of car or less. No bumper covers allowed.
13. All cars must have working brakes to enter. Brakes must work for all events.
14. All cars must have a minimum 12" hole cut in hood above the air cleaner.
15. All doors must be securely fastened by welding or by chain or wire. Welding is limited to two tabs, front and rear, no longer than 6" in length total per seam.
16. Driver's door must have original interior or additional padding. Driver's door may be reinforced.
17. Driver's window must be covered by either a screen or net. This may be attached with zip ties or other means easily removable.
18. Hood and trunk must be fastened down with wire or chain. NEITHER HOOD NOR TRUNK may be welded shut. Hood pins or bolts with washers not permitted. Hood must remain down at all times during race.
19. Trunk lid must remain in stock location and may have a 12" inspection hole.
20. Rear bottom seat cushion must be removed.
21. All cars must have a legible number plate on roof. Numbers and letters at officials' discretion.
22. Front and rear bumpers must be standard, car type, bumpers. No trailer hitches. No bumper covers allowed.
23. Absolutely no altering, welding or reinforcement of springs, frame or other suspension components. All components must be stock.
24. One shock per wheel in stock location. No spring jacks, blocked shocks, coil over shocks or air shocks. 1/4" maximum diameter cable may be used on springs to limit suspension travel.
25. Front bumper shock tubes may be chained or welded to prevent them from pulling out.
26. Welding or chaining any parts to frame is prohibited - except engine and transmission.
27. It is strongly suggested that each car be equipped with a minimum 2 1/2 pound ABC fire extinguisher within reach of driver and securely mounted.
28. Tires must be DOT approved, 6 ply, 29" tall - maximum rating must be visible. No screws are allowed attaching the tire to the rim. All tires, including spares, must go through tech inspection. All wheel weights must be removed.
29. Throttle must have positive return springs.
30. One vertical post behind driver's seat from floor to roof with minimum 6" x 6" x 1/8" plate on each end must be in place unless an adequate roll bar is installed. Post must be minimum of 1 1/2" schedule 40 pipe (well pipe) or 2" x 2" x 1/8" square tubing.
31. All drivers must be at least 18 years old. (16 and 17 year olds will be allowed with parental permission only)
32. An 18" x 18" skid plate will be allowed. ( A total of 324 square inches. )
33. All airbags should be removed for driver's safety. This is a recommendation, but will not result in disqualification.
34. All sunroofs must be covered with metal plate welded to roof.
