Rules & Regulations

 

PLEASE NOTE: WEBSITE RULES, REGULATIONS, AND CAR SPECS ARE MOST UP-TO-DATE AND TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER ANY AND ALL MAILED MATERIALS

 

No cars or trucks allowed through south entrance into pits after 4:30 PM, walk-thru traffic only, NO EXCEPTIONS

 

DRIVER SAFETY BELTS MUST BE WORN AND MUST BE CLEARLY VISIBLE TO ANY AND ALL JUDGES DURING RACES

1.      All competitors and mechanics MUST sign liability waiver on the entry form. Only one entry       per event per person. Entry is non-transferable.

2.      Driver must wear full-face type helmet with face shield or goggles, neck brace, long sleeved shirt and long pants at all times during race.

3.      Only persons who have signed the liability waiver will be allowed in the pit area.

4.      No four wheel drive vehicles allowed.

5.       You must use the same car in the feature that you ran in your heat race.

6.       Anyone under the influence or using alcohol or any controlled substance at the event will be disqualified along with the car and crew.

7.      Any driver, car owner, or mechanic involved in any fight, demonstration, or disturbance  on the track, in the pits, or surrounding area before, during, or after the race shall be subject  to disqualification and will forfeit any awards won.

8.      A driver will be disqualified if a door comes open during a race.

9.      Driver must keep all limbs inside vehicle during race.

10.  If a driver is found or determined to be teaming or using any kind of buddy system,  disqualification will result and any awards won will be forfeited.

11.  Any leakage of fuel will result in immediate disqualification.

12.  There will be no intentional head-on collisions or hitting of driver’s door. If determined to    be intentional, immediate disqualification will result.

13.  In the event of a rollover, race will stop while car is righted. If car is given OK by officials, it may continue racing.

14.  After lead car finishes, all cars should cross finish line if possible.

15.  There will be a driver’s meeting one-half hour prior to race. This meeting is MANDATORY for all drivers and mechanics.

16.  West Michigan Off-Road or any of its associates will not be responsible for any cars, parts, or personal property before, during, or after the race.

17.  Officials reserve the right to reject any and all registrations. Cars decorated in poor taste will be rejected.

18.  Entry fees will not be refunded for “no shows” or for cars that do not pass inspection.

19.  A $50.00 protest fee is required to contest another car. All protests must be made within one hour of the completion of the event.

20. All cars must have a number plate on the roof, with clear numbers and/or letters, and NO DUPLICATE NUMBERS. Numbers will be issued in order of registrations received. If you have a number you want to run for the season, you must enter early!

21. Absolultey no bumper covers of any kind allowed.

22. Driver's door reinforcement bar(s) may not extend more than 6 inches past door.

23. Trunk must be fastened shut with wire or chain, or  MAY HAVE A SIX INCH WELD ON BOTH SIDES.

24. At officials' discretion, laps may be deducted from racers not strictly following specified race course.

 

 

FLAGS USED FOR WEST MICHIGAN OFF-ROAD EVENTS:

GREEN – Start/Resume Racing

WHITE – One Lap to Go

RED – Stop Immediately

BLACK – Disqualified, Immediately Go to Pits

CHECKERED – Race Over
